This two-week course is perfect if you’ve completed a Beginners Wheel class or have some prior experience. Guided by Lucy, you’ll build on your skills and explore new forms that will open up a whole world of possibilities beyond the cylinder and bowl.
Over two inspiring Sundays, you’ll learn how to:
Week One
Shape vessels with bellied or straight-sided forms
Create elegant pouring spouts
Make galleries for lidded forms
Throw two different styles of lids
Week Two
Refine your work through trimming
Pull and attach handles with confidence
Throw finials for your lids
Experiment with underglaze decoration to finish your pieces beautifully
By the end of this short course, you’ll walk away with new techniques, more confidence at the wheel, and functional, personal pieces to call your own.
