In this hand building course students will activate the ceramic surface with image transfer processes. combinging a range of ceramic techniques including imprinting, silk screen printing, mono printing, paper resists and making a plaster sprig mould. Students will produce exciting and innovative objects and images unique to each student’s artistic voice. The course also covers the creation of plaster hump moulds and the use of hump moulds with the raised line imprinting technique.
No prior ceramics experience necessary. Bring a sketch pad or paper, 5 A4 sized images, drawings or photographs to transcribe to the ceramic surface. 5 Small objects (approximately 5cm at the widest point) for sprig moulding.
STUDIO TIME:
As part of your course, you have free access to our fully equipped studio space during studio time every Friday & Saturday. Clay, materials and firing of extra work in this time will need to be paid for.
