Our Beginners Wheel Courses are the perfect way to slow down, get creative, and experience the joy of working with clay. Whether you’ve always wanted to try pottery or you're looking for a new creative outlet, this course will guide you through the fundamentals in a welcoming, supportive space.

ABOUT YOUR COURSE:

Sunday beginners wheel with Lucy Be.

During this course you will learn how to prepare clay for throwing, centre the clay and create a cylinder and bowl, trim your piece and decorate them.

Your work will be ready to collect 3-4 weeks after your class. The pieces you make will be functional, food safe vessels, but the focus is on the techniques you will learn and the experiences you have learning to throw!

WHAT YOU NEED:

The course includes everything you will need, clay, tools, glaze, tuition and bisque and glaze firing of your favourite pieces.

We recommend that you leave any jewelry especially rings at home and trim your nails, this will make it easier to throw.

Bring an apron and towel if you have one, but don't worry if you don't we have spares.

FINDING US:

Our studio is located at 4/31 Centenary drive in the Goonellabah industrial estate, between Bumblebees daycare and Ongmac, we are at the end of the row of sheds with a red roof.
