Pinto - Speckle Gloss Glaze (MF- 344)

500ml brush-on glaze. Midfire cone 6–8. Can be fired to cone 10, with changes to the glaze appearance. Australian made for potters and developed in our Northern Rivers studio.

Pinto is the glaze that wandered in from the paddock, shook its mane, and said, “I’ll take it from here.” A creamy white gloss washed with big, bold, totally unapologetic brown spots - the kind that look hand-painted by a slightly chaotic artist with excellent taste.

The brown fleckles stretch and pool like ink blots, horse markings, or the kind of smudges you swear you’ll clean later but secretly find charming. It’s rustic but polished, playful but grounded - a little wild, a little elegant, always interesting.

Pinto doesn’t try to hide the messiness of clay; it celebrates it. It gives pots that friendly, wholesome, “I grew up outdoors and have stories to tell” energy.
