Mayco Jungle Gems - Mystic Jade

Jungle Gems Crystal Glazes transform in the kiln when the small pieces of glass frit burst into color and intricate patterns during the firing process. Artists use these beautiful glazes to add dramatic, colorful effects to their creations.

Cone 06 oxidation (large photo): Mystic Jade is a semi-translucent blue/green base glaze with variegated jade/brown crystals.

Cone 6 oxidation (small photo): Base glaze darkens – crystals change to an opaque brown and produce a milky haze. Enhanced mobility. Surface issues may occur.
