Sunday Wheel - Cups & Handles with Natalia

Is there anyhting so special as using a beautiful handmade cup? …maybe spending a weekend in the soothing flow of working with clay to make your own beautiful hand made cup! 

Join us for two very special Sundays on the pottery wheel where you will learn to make cups with some extra special tips on creating the perfect handles - with super handle extraordinaire Natalia! Natalia is the maker behind Ruby & Frank Studio where she creates her trademark bright and exciting wheel thrown functional wares. In between making cups and teaching ceramics at TAFE, she’ll be guiding some beginners' wheel courses here at NRPS, helping students to create pieces that are as functional as they are unique.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

Preparing clay for throwing 

Centering the clay on the wheel

Creating a cylinder 

Trimming your cups

Adding the perfect handle 

WHATS INCLUDED:

As well as new creative skills and a sense of accomplishment, you will take home your finished pieces which will be fired and glazed ready to use as your forever tea cup.

The course includes everything you will need, clay, tools, tuition, bisque and glaze firing of your pieces.

 Your work will be glazed in our house white and ready to collect 4-5 weeks after your course. The pieces you make will be functional, food safe vessels.

10:00 Am - 4:00 PM (both days)

Workshops are all held at Northern Rivers pottery Supplies, located in Goonellabah industrial estate, at 31 Centenary drive. We are in between Ongmac and bumblebee daycare. There aren't a lot of food options nearby so bring some lunch or snacks with you. 

REFUND POLICY:

If your class is unable to go ahead you will receive a full refund, if you cannot attend your class please contact us and you may transfer your booking to a friend or if there is enough notice, we can try to fill your space before the class date. If we are able to replace your spot we can offer you a credit for a future class or give a full refund.
